More info:
Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome was to be an upcoming spin-off series from the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica series. Syfy approached show runner Ronald D. Moore to produce another spin-off set in the reimagined Battlestar Galactica universe, and will begin as a two-hour pilot that will focus on William "Husker" Adama (to be portrayed by Luke Pasqualino) during the First Cylon War (as was glimpsed in Razor and the corresponding webisodes).
Syfy greenlit the two-hour pilot of Blood & Chrome, which saw production begin in February 2011. No release date has been announced yet for the pilot. The channel decided against moving forward with a new TV series, but reportedly is still considering a web series.
On November 5, 2012 it was announced that a 10-part web series would begin on November 9, 2012 and be released over four weeks via Machinima. A two-hour movie is also scheduled to air on Syfy in early 2013, which will be released on DVD shortly afterwards.
Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome is a prequel to the reimagined Battlestar Galactica series. It stars Luke Pasqualino, Ben Cotton, and Lili Bordán. Michael Taylor wrote the teleplay from a story by Taylor, David Eick, Bradley Thompson and David Weddle, with Jonas Pate as director. The series is being distributed as a 10-episode online series on Machinima.com starting November 9, 2012, and will also air as a televised movie in early 2013 on Syfy.
Set in the tenth year of the First Cylon War, the story follows William Adama as a young man, with the call sign "Husker." William, being a recent Academy graduate, is assigned to the newest battlestar in the Colonial fleet: the Galactica. He is ordered to escort a young woman, who eventually turns out to have vital information that carries significant importance to certain Cylon secrets. He is accompanied by Coker Fasjovik. The routine mission eventually turns dangerous and becomes a pivotal part in their story.
Interesting...
They're plugging the fact that there'll be an unrated version on DVD after it screens on Syfy.
There's at least two obvious "bleeps" of the word "shit" in these first two episodes, and an above-the-tits shower scene.
Clearly BSG's core audience is being led to believe that the DVD will contain boobies.
And shit
Sounds like the liberal democrats
Wasn't this meant for TV? And then BSG pretty much pissed away all the good will towards it with the dreary last season of Battlestar, and the equally plodding Caprica.
Although I heard they were going to reboot it all as a movie. With new actors etc. Which might be interesting.
