The Scotland Thread

Now that Celtic have beaten Barcelona.
It's time that Scotland got it's own thread.

Retire Billy Connolly & you can have two threads.

I've never been there.

You should go if you get the chance Ben.
The scenery is lovely, so is the Whisky I'm led to believe.

I'd like to go too, but not with Ben.

Yet.

It's nice if a little parochial

(one of Sootyj's new range of one line descriptions of countries).

I'd love to go to Scotland, and nearly went to Balamory / Toblermoray/ Rory Rory as me and the kids wanted to see Miss Hoolies nursery and Josie Jump and Archie's castle et al but the cost of the train gave me a fright...but one day for sure.

Flights are much cheaper even if bought on the day.

I can offer you all a special cut-price rate.

And why didn't the bloody thing copy the whole post!

Were you scoring up the screen with your wee malkie again?

Malkie is it? Ah'll malkie ye aw right, efter Ah've pit the heid in ye.

I got a Scottish friend at work who has promised to make me some Scottish potato cakes I think she said, also some fruit bread stuff, can't remember the proper names...keewik?

Farls? I love those.

That's the one I think, we have something very like them in Ireland, yum yum, hot and dripping with butter.

Tottie Scones & fruit pudding?
Who puts cake in a breakfast?

When the Mother in law tries to put fruit cake on my fry up I usually politely decline & take another bite of fried dried pigs blood.
I don't like the potato scones much either but I'm polite.
