British Comedy Guide

Help I found you whilst looking for inspiration.

Hi from sunny Herts

Hi funny people. I wonder if there are any writers here that could help humanise my speech. My company will be laying me off imminently and trying to make a living at 59 isn't funny... anyway onward and upward. One area I feel I could break into is After Dinner Speaking nothing special Roundtable, Rotary that sort of thing.
I am not unfamiliar with being on stage as I was a semi-pro entertainer for over twenty years but telling the odd gag yes, comedy writer no. I have a theme - Temporary Traffic Management which was my day job for a number of years. I have purchased a few books etc trying to find humourous lines and written a few lines myself without much joy but it's difficult for a novice writer to inject comedy into anecdotes as I'm sure you will appreciate.
Anyway my request is simple. If you would like to help I can provide the stories and insight. I live in south Hertfordshire and would be happy to meet and encourage meeting up to discuss the subject matter in depth...
Later Steve

What sort of bunce are we talking, Finny?
