The Reality of the Drug Trade

The jungle primeval.

A small man with darting eyes risks the wrath of both the Left & Right wing Guerrillas as he chops his coca plants in a small well hidden clearing.

We then see another man in a vest with darting eyes as he takes the crop on his cart and covers it with rags and then pushes out of the undergrowth and onto a road and then past an army checkpoint. The beads of sweat on his face betray his fear of instant death if captured.

We now see the cart outside a hut with smoke coming from a pot. A family work nervously as they quickly process the leaves. As they work their eyes never stop scanning the jungle and the imminent arrival of guerrillas, police death squads or army patrols.

We then see the cart outside a Bogotá flat, the man in the vest is in a room full of heavily armed men in white suits and sunglasses. The man is clearly frightened of betrayal as he hands over a yellow plastic bag and in return is given a few coins

We then see the yellow plastic bag on a desk in drugs lab, people in masks work tirelessly as they are watched over by men with machine guns.

We then see a man dressed as a postman loading sacks from the lab into a van, we see a gun under his seat and he has rosary beads in his hand as he drives to the docks.

We see a rusty ship, the captain looks terrified as he takes the sacks from the post van and and immediately sets sail. As he moves out of port he scans the police boats and navy gunships, knowing if they come he will never see the light of day again, if they let him live!

The ships nears the European coast, the Captain looks out for customs cutters, knowing he faces life in jail.

Once docked the Captain puts the sacks into the boot of a taxi and is taken to a flat full of men with guns.

The main man who is sitting behind a desk opens an attache case and to the captain's relief it is money.

With darting eyes for police and robbers the captain makes his way back to his ship as the men in the room divide the content of the sacks into twenty red attache cases and disperse.

We see three men in a room who clearly don't trust each other, the tension is due to each others fear that it could be police trap, a rip off or a hit! One man puts a red attaché case on the table the other two each take a packet and hand over money, all leave the room backwards with their hands on the guns in their belts.

We now see the package being put into a sports bag which is then picked up by a man dressed as a Coach Driver.

The coach driver then smokes six ciggies on the spin then puts six sticks of gum in his mouth as he puts the sports bag behind his seat and drives onto the ferry.

We see two men in a room with the coach driver; the package is on the table.
The men look worried as the air of betrayal or capture hangs heavy in the room as they divide the package. They then give the coach driver a bundle of dough and depart.

We see the package in a flat; two men and a woman are dividing it into bags.

We see a man in another flat on a mobile phone.

We then see the same man outside the flat waiting

We see a young man driving a car that stops by the man
