But it's not a bad thing.
The wondering is what sets us apart.
And will it ever vanish?
Or will it like the atom keep getting smaller but more complicated?
Like the frog who jumps half way to the island, then half that agin, then half that again.
Technically he never gets there....
Why does anyone need religion? Page 27
When science removes death from the equation (fingers crossed it happens in the next 30 years) people will abandon religion in droves, imho.
When science cures death?
I think Kevin we're going to need some sort of belief system to decide who gets to be Lazarus and who gets to be Soylent green.
i'm Lazzard - is that close enough.
But seriously, the 'cure' for death and increased , nay eternal, life is the biggest problem we will face as a species.

Yup.
Overpopulation is the biggest problem we face *today*.
And guess what -- religion causes overpopulation.

I think it is, because as far as I'm aware science is nowhere near finding a cure for death or old age. And if by chance it does, that would probably cause just as many problems as religion ever has. See Torchwood: Miracle Day for further details.
