How offensive can we be...? Page 2

Brilliant! But my offensive is a different kind of offensive. It's more personal...I'm talking about giving ethnic minorities terminal illnesses. Basically, I want to know the likelihood of me getting to beat up and/or shoot some one on the way home after a gig.

I think you may have mistaken being a standup comic for being a member of the Apartheid era South African militaries bureau of external affairs.

Easy mistake to make.

We've all been there.

Some of us twice.

Haha!
No, I'm definitely not being controversial or offensive for the sake of it. I've been cautious about not coming across as somebody who is trying to entertain through purely a shock factor. I guess there are always going to be people who won't laugh or who might take offence so I'm possibly over-thinking this...

Shock humour is a lot like chilli peppers. A whole bowl and you'll be trying to puke and shit simultaneously screaming in agony.

A generous pinch can enliven the blandest dish.

Shock humour can be great but use with caution.

That and nothing dates like shock humour. I can assure even the most jaded audience were bored with April jokes long ago,

Why not bung some examples up in Critique, SummerRay?

Then we'll all know what exactly you're talking about and you'll get some proper feedback.
