I've been doing stand up for just over a year now, and I've been watching live stand up for about 3 years.
Looking back at my first jokes I've noticed that I've improved.
What bothers me though is seeing comics not improve at all over the last 3 years that ive been watching. I'm starting to wonder if everyone has a certain amount of potential they can reach and eventually we will all hit a plateau.
What I hope is that if one continues to strive for growth one can contunue to grow and improve. I hope its mostly due to those comics being lazy and being too comfortable with their level of mediocrity.
