Does one need to go to Oxbridge to stand a chance Page 8

Soup is the poor man's version dear boy. Slow braised in red wine onion and garlic etc, served up with a lovely mash!

They never served it like that at my school, and if they had Mrs Fisher would have tipped cigarette ash in it from the fag that always hung out of the corner of her mouth. Grey mash yum yum

I include Robert Webb who isn't really a comedian, just to make that joke.

You find that those comedians who didn't go to Oxbridge went to equally prestigious universities like Bristol or UEA rather than polys or second tier places. And most went to public schools.

There are established 'working class' performers - though fewer than you would imagine. For example Paul Whitehouse - who you might expect to have had no higher education went to the University of East Anglia and his mum was an opera singer.

WOW Katy Brand went to Oxford and is still the most unfunniest woman EVER!! This proves the point, if you go to Oxford you get a show, no matter how shit you are!! ;)
