Shillibury Tales

Not sure I have the title correct [Edited], but I think so. does anybody remember this 80's sitcom about a musical arranger who moved to the English countryside, just outside London. I seem to remember the star was Barry evans ("Mind Your Language") or certainly one of his peers. I'm beginning to think I'm losing my mind, did I dream this?

Actually Called Shillibury Tales started Robin Nedwell (Doctor in the House, along side Barry Evans) ran for 1 series in 80/81 on ITV also had Bernard Cribbins.

But no I don’t remember it, was it any good.

Wasn't there a sitcom in the mid-80s, called 'Lame Ducks', about a bloke who went to live in the countryside? I was only a kid back then, so my memories of it are really vague, but I seem to remember it being really weird, e.g. there was a character whose ambition was to walk around the world on an inflatable ball, or something!!!

Thanks Britcom Barry, yes Shillingbury Tales. Not sure whether it was any good, but it hits the spot personally. I've ordered the DVD, I'll let you know
