Whilst struggling to settle on my top 5 or 10 albums of the year I thought I'd try something much simpler - choosing my favourites from each of the past 50 years. Piece of cake...

Stab in the dark I know, but is he a Marillion fan?
I would guess that not two in a hundred would list them in their top 50 albums but he gets them in eight times !

It's not only a remarkable abundance of Marillion stuff but also (neo-)prog in general: Rush, Asia, Magnum etc. He must be a "prog-nerd".

Went to a great French festival this summer, just outside Paris, so might be worth serious consideration by you.
