But look out for the engine drivers throwing lumps of coal at you !

Surely that only happens in Crewe when Chris Hughes is grumpy?

(Come to think of it, Peter Waterman spends a lot of time in London)

See/hear 'Hancock's Car.'

'Move it.'

'I can't move it, I have nowhere to put it.'

'Put it in a garridge,'

'I do not have a garaarge.'

Will do!

......Hey, there ARE people around at breakfast too!

A lot of the songs in the charts at the moment are awful, repetitive cr@p. Especially that 'Na na, na na na na na na nah' one. I could punch a kitten whenever I hear it.

Why would you inflict that on my poor ears?! :S

Whoops. I like it. :D

Four years ago, I put a message on the now defunct BBC forum: "What is that song from the 90s that goes "na, na, na?". Three members of the public replied "Temple Head".

Then to my astonishment a fourth wrote: "Yeah, that's right. Great isn't it. All the best, Annie Nightingale". What a nice woman. Not a lot of them would do it.

Anyhow, as it is Womad weekend, and I'm not there, I'm playing some of the proper stuff. This classic is repetitive but what a vibe.

Yes. I rather hope Bob Dylan lives to 110, however unlikely.

As long as they can dig out these archival gems from the vaults everything's ok.

Thanks, mate!

Only found a smallish one today, hiding in an old glass.

I thought the clip might be Ziggy Stardust, or "Boris The Spider". :)

Here's Swim Deep's "King City".

I like the strung-out quality to the vocal.

Yes, I was thinking it was a spider but it was a fly. Thanks for Swim Deep. A commercial production but there is some atmospheric range which I liked, particularly in the vocal accompaniment. Before shopping for food, one which is arguably strong in all but the singing although that fits too. It always evokes a specific time.
