Country legend Merle Haggard passed away today on his 79th birthday. My neighbors and I saw him and Willie Nelson almost exactly a year ago and I had a feeling we wouldn't see one of them much longer. They were scheduled to play 3 nights at the same venue next week, but Merle pulled out a couple of weeks ago.
