Hi everyone,
We are having a comedy night with just a few friends and people we know. Nothing big, just having it at our local pub. Apparently I'm the onethat's stuck doing the promo stuff and I have never done it before! 
So just wondering, what kind of software would one use to do the designs? Doesn't need to be anything fancy, just simple stuff, photos and some text. Someone suggested GIMP ( http://www.gimp.org ), has anyone tried it? Is it hard to use? Second thing is, if we just have a few dozen copies of the flyers to print, should I do it myself or get it printed somewhere? Ive got a decent Epson printer, this one: http://www.epson.co.uk/gb/en/viewcon/corporatesite/products/mainunits/overview/11544, does ok quality. I will ask my local printer too for a quote but think they might be a bit too expensive... 
I also Googled and found a few, like print24 who do flyers and other stuff.. http://print24.com/uk/.
So any tips and suggestions very welcome! Hopefully someone can help! Thanks!
