They say 'Man is the warmest place to hide' but if you ever find me inside another man, just shoot me.

Someone was having a laugh with that poster. If you put a little 'y' on the end of Thing you get Thingy, as well.

I know what you mean. Like all those ones about Australian backpackers, etc getting caught and tortured by mental blokes.

Yer we were shown where all the backpackers were picked up in Aus and killed...scared the crap out of us when we were there. There's loads of warnings about not hitching lifts etc. If anyone gets a chance read that book about that back packer...Peter Falconio (i think)...its a brilliant book about a backpacker who goes missing in the outback and you don't know who killed him - there's 3 things that could have happened...either a strange mysterious trucjy got him, his girlfriend had something to do with it, or he did a runner. All the strange evidence...and the police messed up loads. Very good book called Where's Peter?

think the film wolf creek even referenced the falconio story at the end ?

Perhaps not the scartiest but 'Cube' seems to do it for me.

It isn't really scary but I've been waiting for an excuse to be able to post this video.

1,500+ prisoners dancing to Thriller: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=hMnk7lh9M3o

(How the prison guards organised this I don't know! The 'girl' seemed very game for dressing up though.)

That was bloody brill Mark.

And it was only the trial run, which is brilliant. Keep putting off searching for their other routines.

Gotta say Alien is the scariest film, certainly has the most memorable death scene. Any takers?

"Wrong Turn" is hardly a Mary poppins movie...

I saw Alien when I was quite young and it scared the bejesus out of me

In space, no one can hear bejesus.

My favourite has to be The Shinning. It's class.

I've just been watching Vacancy and that was pretty damn good. Great suspense and stuff.

Yup, Alien ... at least when I first saw it was scary for me ... particularly the bit where the lone guy is searching for the cat in the dripping down-the-bottom-of-the-ship area ... real gothic stuff! More recently the various Saw's maybe (except the third).
