Enjoyed Richard Osman on HIGNFY.

I didn't know him but I enjoyed him too. Very funny & witty.

I concur with the consensus, Richard Osman was brilliant on last night's show and was cracking great gags and obversations all night. Every time the camera cut to Miles and Paul, they just looked like pissed off babies. And so they should, their comedy impotence was readily apparent. Hang your heads in shame so called 'comedians', you done been pwned by the geek from Pointless.

Loved his Spice Girls bit especially.

Agree about Osman, but not about Jupp. You could hear him laughing along, so he was enjoying it. Fair enough, Merton did his usual face pulling.

How about Richard Osman? Pretty good as a panel member on WILTY and (IIRC) The Unbelievable Truth, could be good in the chair.

;)

Merton always seems to get a right bag on when there's someone (else?) funny on. His condescending applause gets in my jubblies too.

"a right bag on"? Never heard that before.

Osman did steal the show a bit, I can't really remember anyone else making a good joke...

I'm trying to remember also. Trying to remember who cracked the joke about the Census and white minorites in London with 'as evidenced by tonight's line up'.

The last bit was Merton.

The most frustrating thing for the others must have been that Osman didn't seem to try that hard to be funny...he just was. Very effortless and natural performance.

Still think Merton is out of his depth sometimes, and WHY does he have to explain his jokes with animated gestures, like HE thinks they are too subtle for anyone to understand. Patronising?

He was certainly out of his depth on Whose Line.

Really? I liked him on Whose Line. He still tours it as a live stage show in which he was jolly good too (the time I saw him, anyway).

Perhaps improved his improv.:D , but if you watch him closely on Whose Line he's clearly not as relaxed or as slick as the others and has the annoying habit of repeating what someone else has just said, which I have just realised, is what he does on HIGNFY sometimes.

Ha, I have noticed him a few times repeat what the guest said, but louder. Maybe he's just making sure the joke gets heard (or maybe he's nicking it). ;)

The racist weather forecast line had me laughing for ages! Laughing out loud

Yeah, that was great...and totally unexpected.
