Must be an age/lack of a sense of humour thing on my part! :O

I think it's got a very heightened sense of humour that would ordinarily lend to a studio sitcom, Gary.

Sorry Aaron, are you suggesting that if I was watching it as part of a live audience I might enjoy it more (hysteria etc)?
Genuine query.

Not at all. I'm pointing out that it's got some not-wholly-realistic comedy stylings that one would often see in a not-realistic studio-based audience sitcom, whilst being presented in a slightly more 'realistic' filmic manner. Potentially creating somewhat of a clash between the natural and the silly.

Oh, I see.

Cheers.

Always nice to see "Her" out of "Him and Her". Also the mad scots lady from Green Wing... I think. Great fun, enjoyed the first one and look forward to more.

You just can't beat Aaron

You just can't beat Aaron

One might have a chance if one knew what the f**k he was talking about. :$

And again:

It was very funny and the main character was engaging.

Ratings up on the first episode. This is becoming a big hit for BBC Three.

Have so far only seen one episode of this and my considered opinion that I know you simply can't live without...

S'alright.

Can't say I was particularly impressed. A previous poster described the headmaster as being like David Brent. I agree.

I also couldn't help thinking he (the headmaster not the other poster) was a bit of rip-off of Mr G from the far superior Summer Heights High (itself described by Viz as "the funniest thing to come out of Australia since Germaine Greer").

That said, what I saw was OK and I'd watch it again if it appeared on a screen before me but I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to watch it. Unlike Summer Heights High.

And if you don't agree, then puck you, miss.

Always nice to see ... the mad scots lady from Green Wing.

Agreed.

Thought the 2nd episode was better than the first. Still a bit average though I thought.

Some very funny moments, some laboured unfunny ones. Needs a good script editor, but worth watching again for the very funny moments. Utterly clueless, unsympathetic direction lacking rhythm and timing isn't helping things.

EDIT. Ah. All is explained. The same director was responsible for The Bleak Old Shop Of Stuff. The chap is of the point-the-camera-somewhere-and-hope school of direction.

I love this, it's fantastic. It was the first episode I watched and what a fantastic show it is. I do like. Chantelle is hot. Lovey

What is a glitterish?
