Cannabis Ministers- Sketch

In light of recent revelations...

INT. FRONT BENCHES. DAY

THE CABINET ARE ALL SITTING ON THE FRONT BENCHES OF THE HOUSE. WE CAN HEAR GORDON BROWN FINISHING A SPEECH. THEY ALL TALK IN WHISPERS.

Jacqui: ‘ere Roof, Have a go on this one. It’s a bifter. Roof?

Alistair: She’s gone to the Shell garage.

Jacqui: Eh?

Tessa: Shhhh.

Alistair: She’s got a really bad munch on. There’s no chocolate around here at all. I think Prescott took it all with him when he left.

Jacqui: Tessa.

Tessa: What?

Jacqui: Err…sorry I forgot. (laughing).

Tessa: Can you wait until after Prime Minister’s question time?

Alistair: Okay okay. Sorry. (Under his breath) Chill out stressy.

Gordon Finishes speaking.

He is wearing an Ipod. We can hear the tinny thump of a bass drum. He appears all sweaty and is holding a bottle of water.

Gordon: This is banging man. Did I tell you? I really love you lot. You are all f**king great.

Tessa: For goodness sake.

This is very good. I liked the iPod image and the water bottle. You capture the 'jive' (Do they still say that? Or did they ever apart from Scooby Doo?).

Was wondering whether the word 'stressy' would be better as a pun on Tessa - Stressa?

Yeah Good one mate. I'll change it later.

Good sketch but I reckon you've sold yourself short because I would think everyone who has chosen this news item would be coming at it from the same angle, so your approach must be different if its going to stand out. After all, it's all too easy to go for the obvious.

You should be making something out of Gordon Brown's annoying habbit of sticking his tongue in his cheek, which he does every time he punctuates a sentance or pauses. Remember how he got the job as PM. It was gifted to him as if it were a birthday present for a very spoilt child. This man is a nail biter, he's selfish, childish, an alleged control freak and part of the Scottish mafia in Westminster.

There's an awful lot of drug influenced comedy to be gained from that so use it and make this sketch sparkle.

More! I love it!
