BCG Fantasy Premier League 2012/13 Page 27

Gerry won the league (well done); I won the highest Gameweek score. That's me versus Gerry in the Community Shield, then.

There's unpredictable and there's f**king ridiculous and I know Don would be the first to acknowledge the fluke. Presumably he didn't have the funds to swap Lukaku for Sturridge.

Lukaku was always a good bet against a side on the beach. Awesome player.

Anyway. As far as I'm concerned you won a respectable bronze and I won silver. This extra league was created specifically for 'known' members. Percival Slash had 9 months to make himself known but didn't bother.

We really need to get rid of these gatecrashers. If not for Gerry, Percy would have won. Making a mockery of the whole thing.

To be serious for a rare moment I've really enjoyed playing FF for the first time this season with you guys.

Me too. So nice to have a 'clean' thread, free of idiots and trite comments. Thanks to all.

It was my first stab at FF and I enjoyed it too. It's actually got me more into football and interested in what's going on with other teams. Roll on next season.

Good luck pushing the 'awesome player' line Don. Of course he is a great player but the only reason you didn't swap him out for Sturridge is you were .6m short.

You started 28 points behind me and only passed me because I got almost no points from a very good team on paper - nearly all 1s and 2s. I think you'd be lying if you said you weren't as surprised as I was - you were hoping to pass Dan, not me.

Even then you didn't pass me me with match points, despite a substitute hattrick, it was the bonus points which are unpredictable to say the least, so I'm entitled to feel aggrieved.

All that said, well done on getting the highest weekly points total - not to be sniffed at. I didn't even break a hundred.

I thought about signing him but knew others would, so there was no advantage to it.

I was very surprised. Ray Winstone came on at half-time and gave me 50/1.

I've hardly had any bonus points this season, so was due some luck in that area. It'd be interesting to see the table minus all BPs. Which I agree is a shit part of the game.

Cheers. It's no consolation but I've been playing FF, on and off, for 20 years - and only beat you, a novice, by 3 points.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Didn't know how addictive it could be! I've played in another league for a while but never bothered trying before. I was half way through October (and sadly 25/32) when I decided to give it a spin. I finished 11th in that league eventually which was ok but was always too far behind the BCG clique to make an impression. I'm more of a rugby fan really but I now know more about football than I've ever done. Excellent stuff!

Well done all
Especially Gerry, Don & Fozzie 2.

Great fun.

Well done to Shaggy too. If it wasn't for him, I'd have got the wooden spoon.

I like spoons. I thought that's what we were playing for?

Despite a poor finish, the owner of Dynamo Taxis has offered me a 500% pay rise, a rucksack full of cocaine and sex with his wife and daughter at the same time if I stay on for next season. I just don't know.

What about you guys - staying with your clubs? Anyone moving to 'Anal Leakage' or 'Muggin' You Off'?

I was gonna compile some stats but I can't be bothered. I assume my highest overall points scorer is Suarez but I could be wrong. The only player had from day one to the end of the season was Jaaskelainan.

My worst transfer was Rafael who was expensive and worth just 9pts over eight weeks.

My top three goals of the season were:

3. Walcott against Newcastle

2. Remy against Wigan

1. Suarez against Newcastle

Suarez was my player of the season - beautiful complete play, creative - doesn't just wait for the ball like van persie and (whilst no oil painting) unlike Bale doesn't make you want to throw up when you watch him shoot.

The fouling and nibbling of Ivanovic was a bonus.

There should be a special 'Tough Love' award for Gerry who managed to not field a single Villa player, despite officially being a supporter. It's not as if they weren't worth buying in either, Benteke earned me 49pts in 8 weeks before his red card.

I considered transferring Benteke in for the final gameweek, as we were safe and my blood pressure had returned to a relatively normal level, but an injury to Hazard scuppered my plan :)

Goal of the season for me was Van Persie's volley against us. Incredible technique.

My worst decision of the season was transferring in Carlton Cole. I had upcoming double-gameweek fever and it clouded my judgment. He managed an assist in one of the games I think, but I'd benched the bag of bollocks by then.

My FF Player of the season has to be Michu. He was my first transfer in of the season and without doubt my best bit of business. He scored at The Emirates and Old Trafford, he was basically undroppable.

Yeah, incredible technique but he did exactly the same last season. He'll probably do it again next season. He can't keep getting goal of the season for the same goal. He was lucky to get the golden boot as well - he only beat Suarez by one goal and he missed four games because of his ban.

I really liked the way Swansea got stuck into United both times. They showed them no respect at all which I think they found hard to take.

The best goal of the season for me was that Villa's Matthew Lowton's volley from miles away.

Technically, RVP's was the best, but he's a striker. Lowton may never score again, let alone a goal like that!

Yeah that goal was super sweet, but he scored a similar goal against Swansea earlier in the season. Those goals always looked fluked though so people undervalue them.

Hurry up Season!
I've already picked my team, I'm just waiting for them to pull their finger out & get going!

Will you still be managing Olympic Mayonais, Steve? or have you struck a deal with a new club? I still considering offers.
