Hiiiii Everybody! 22 year old Irish lad here.
Happily encountered this impressive site recently and have decided to come aboard whether you like it or not! (because I'm an angry pirate, you see?) I do be talking to myself most of the time so I'm hoping this site might help with that at least. I'd love to hear the comedy experiences from any Irish folk on this site?
Mucho interested in the many forms of comedy and am teetering on the brink of formally producing, writing, stand-upping,submitting and excreting some of my own work in the near future hopefully (just a notebook of musings and possible sketches at the moment). I want to try everything with the aim of eventually amounting to nothing. Sadly I have no real experience, even at nothing, so I don't really know where to start? Maybe I'll try writing a blog and then start really quickly slipping "Yaaa, I wrote about this in my blog.." into the start of my conversations. Who knows?
In the meantime, It's great to find a site/human gathering so dedicated to and interested in the art of comedy. It seems great for comedy news and I was almost immediately happy with the forum as it lead me to a free download of the "I, Partridge: We need to talk about Alan" audiobook. Big fan of Larry David, Chris Morris and Armando Iannucci workings.
I look forward to inflicting you with my diatribe! (euphemism not intended)
