Time Travel thread Page 2

If I had a time machine I'd go back to the last time I was in Milan and try to work out what the hell happened when the space-time continuum went wrong.

Mind you, I'm not complaining. I got an extra hour in the pub. Result!

I would definitely first travel forward in time, I'm far more interested in seeing what will happen rather than what has already been. I expect a lot of historical events weren't as good as the hype anyway; I bet when Jesus was getting crucified, people were more interested in the footie results or something.

I'd do the Jesus watching thing too, video the whole non event ie. bored people making it all up then go and screen it on a big screen in Vatican Square and go up to popey and say 'Try and keep this one under your silly hat. Now how's about giving half the world back the riches you stole and shutting up your foul planet stuffing medieval claptrap.'

Then I'd video all the other pseudo gods and prophets and do the same there.

After that I'd visit 1750 Fleet Street and warn people not to have their hair cut. Or eat pies next door.

I'd love to go back to the early to mid 80s to see what life was like when I was but a toddler and didn't understand the world.

It was rubbish.
There, saved you the effort.

Laughing out loud

I'd go back and convince Constantine that if he adopted stoicism he would win the Battle of Milvian Bridge. We'd definitly have jet packs and robot butlers if he'd gone with stoicism over Christianity.

Never thought much about time travel but I guess I would like to go back in time in Edinburgh. around the time New town was built.

When I was very little and saw moving images of people from the early 1900's, I remember wanting to go back to then to see the people who walked in that strange kind of slow/fast motion.

I'd go back to about nine months before my birth and advise my father to stay in the pub that night.

Being paradoxical or not happy with life?

I think I'd pop back & have a chat with Leonardo da Vinci. to see if he was not an ordinary (or even extraordinary) person, but instead was actually a stranded time traveller.

And if not, take one of those modern toy helicopters with contra-rotating blades to encourage him.
