This sounds like something I'd tune into. Good luck with it.
Thanks for the vote of confidence. We hope it goes well.
I think it'd be better though if you were releasing it as an audio podcast, so I could download it and stick it onto my iPod. That might open things up a bit too for the people that can't record great videos (much easier to record great audio than great video/audio).
You are absolutely right. We had thought of this and will probably get video and audio podcasts of these released too in the near future. Good to hear your suggestions
Ok. I Have Been pondering what you said about podcasts and I am Going to include audio entries too. They will be exclusive to the podcast as an added incentive to download those.
I'm going to do a video for this. Hopefully it won't contain me swearing at the cat for interrupting the recording, like last time.
Need 20 to 30 gags. Up to 12 so far.
Okay, so I made a video for this, which is up now. Had to squeeze it in between the cat wanting to come in out of the rain and family returning home.
The very first dot com(edy) spot launched last night and I got a great bit of feedback. Anyone who had their doubts about the format you can check it out over at the link Park Bench posted above.
Hope you like it and anyone wishing to get involved please don't hesitate to contact me at howard@ppsf.co.uk. The more the merrier...
I will be sorting out a wekkly podcast over the next few days too so people wishing to send just audio comedy are more than welcome to do so too.
Cheers,
How.
Park Bench - very good - made me laugh
Thanks.
It took a few attempts to get it right, but I'm happy with the material.
For some reason the cat always wants to come in, when I'm recording. Or is that leave ?
Liked your video, generally neat well timed gags and well told.
But do you think the style is a little samey through out?
Maybe mix in some longer form gags or linked gags?
Sooty - I agree with the linked gags thing. It was something that I had considered, but I ran out of time (well, material).
As for 'samey', I'd never really considered that. It could certainly do with being more 'emotive'. I'm not sure if I can capture that without doing it in front of people.
It's something I'll try and work on.
Thanks for being so constructive. Hope you feel better soon.
eh? I'm fine.
Just messing with the length of jokes or linking them can break up the pattern.
We have a great lineup for this week too but there are plenty of spaces for more acts over the next few weeks.
This Friday we shall be including not only stand up but also sketches/shorts to mix things up a bit. Anyone wanting to include comedy shorts/mockumentaries lasting no longer than 10 minutes are more than welcome.
