KI - Dog

Woman 1 - A dog has run seventeen hundred thousand kilometers, which in English distance is (thinking) erm carry the one - a bloody long way. We now have an exclusive interview with the dog. How are you feeling?

Dog - Rough (Laughs) I'm kidding. I feel tired but good

Woman 1 - In the news they described you as a stray. Would that be accurate?

Dog - More accurate than they know. Not only did I have no where to live, but I was lost

Woman 1 - You're not going to say you found God are you?

Dog - No at that point in my life I couldn't even find my elbow with my paw

Woman 1 - Do dogs have elbows?

Dog - Not sure

Woman 1 - Anyway what made you turn your life around?

Dog - Pudsey. Seeing that dog win Britains Got Talent really lit a match under my tail. I thought I've got to do something. Make an impact

Woman 1 - So what's next?

Dog - Sports Relief want me to do something with John Bishop, but I'm not sure I'm a Michael Mcintyre kind of guy. Think I'll take some time to reflect on things and catch up on licking my scrotum

Woman 1 - Thanks for joining us. You are inspirational and may I say (As if speaking to a dog) You're such a good boy. Who's a good boy?

Dog - Me?

Woman 1 - Yes you are. Yes you are. (Normal voice) And back to the studio

END

This is a pretty good sketch; characterisation is quite good.

My worry is that the story won't really last till recording.

Dan

This is a good sketch. I didn't catch the story. But one of the advantage of Newsjacks's style is the intros that can set this stuff up.

If it was mine I would try and cut out 25%-50% of the words while keeping the meaning of the lines. And I think there should more of a gag for Sports Relief/John Bishops. (Apologies if that is a gag and I just don't get it!)

Some nice ideas in there but reading it now it doesn't feel very topical. The most famous dog story is the Pudsey one so if anything I think he should be the star of the sketch.

The one bit that slightly lost me was the few lines after stray. Not quite sure I got all that but liked the dog character in the rest.
