I recently found out he died in January aged 85, famous for appearing in, amongst other things, The Army Game and In Sickness And In Health.
Harry Fowler
Always enjoyed seeing Harry Fowler pop up. A couple of favourites include a blinding Minder episode as dodgy travel agent Monty Wiseman who get Arthur involved in smuggling back diamonds in a transported dead man.
Another good spiv performance is opposite Trevor Howard in Sir Henry at Rawlinson's End.
Sorry to hear that.
I remember years ago when I used to watch Chelsea train, he and Kenny Lynch joind in to film scenes for a TV show. Can't remember what it was callwed though.
I met him in 1983. His wife was exhibiting her business wares at the barbican centre and he came to help her set up her stand.
I was wiring the stand and they wanted some 'unofficial extra sockets'
A quick buckshee £20 in my back sky and they appeared like magic.
He was a nice guy and I missed that he had died. A good innings though
