You can do a Lovefilm 30 day free trial and get £18 cashback through Quidco this weekend only. Do the trial, cancel the service and pocket the cash. It's up to you whether you want to do the streaming only (easier to cancel) or the DVD service.

To cancel, you can wait until 11pm-ish, and then cancel it via their website, before then it lists a phone number.

I thought this was a deal worth sharing, so you can check out a comedy box set you hadn't before, or catch up on some drama. Do what you want. Check it out.

If you'd like to do a Netflix free trial as well and compare the two, you get £7 cashback for doing their 30 day free trial.

Check that out too. Cancelling is really easy, it's literally 2 clicks on their website. They've got a great selection of comedy TV and some good movies too.

Ummmm Garry - normally this would be classed as spam... any particular reason I shouldn't close this thread and delete it?

You can remove the referral links if you wanted, I just thought this was a good deal for comedy fans and that it was worth sharing.

It's essentially being given free money through a reputable money-saving website for doing free trials where you can watch unlimited streamed comedy.

I thought by doing so, it might encourage people to watch lots of new comedy (Netflix has 7 seasons of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, not shown on UK TV, for instance), so it could stimulate more conversation through the forums by people trying out lots of new shows for the first time.

I don't see what anyone stands to lose from starting both free trials, but hopefully from the above, you can see what they do have to gain (£18 or £7 and 30 days of free entertainment).

If that's not a good enough reason, feel free to remove the thread. No harm done. :)

Do you benefit from this at all, Garry?

Do you benefit from this at all, Garry?

I do if you click the referral link, but I've added non-referral links to the first page so you can bypass that if you'd rather I didn't benefit from it.

Moderators, if there's a BCG admin that uses Quidco, you can change it to your referral links so it benefits the forums when people sign up. Just a thought.

Site rules state:

Users may not advertise in posts, private messages, or other posted material without first obtaining permission from the administrators (contact us here). This includes referral/affiliate links, links to sites for which the poster will directly financially benefit, advertising for a free resource, sending an unsolicited private message offering a product or service, or otherwise posting simply for financial or membership benefits. Permission will often be given, provided the advert will be of interest to message board users (i.e. comedy related)... but you must ask first.

However, Garry's post was made in good faith and it is indeed an offer that may be of interest to our members, so we will allow it to stand.
