My first ever sketch: Our Man in Pathology

This was my first ever attempt at writing a comedy sketch. I wrote a whole series of them with the same detective character, but this is the only one I've been able to track down.

It's a PDF because pasting it in here made the formatting horrible to read.

Love to hear your thoughts. Tear me a new one!

I thought it was a little long and it was a little difficult to accept that he wouldnt know the male anatomy but I thought the ending was good and had a couple of titters along the way to keep it ticking over.

I quite liked it and also 'tittered' a couple of times.

I think he's the sort of Doctor I was going for here.

I like it very much, it's my sort of sketch.

I'd say it's a little long - you don't need to do uterus and penis, I'd say, conflate those two - but there are lots of nice little lines, and a properly neat punch.

It's also neat, because it woudl work barked out on a bare stage in a tudent review, or in a slightly different way, with brilliant actors in an expensively done police procedural show pastiche.

I enjoyed that very much, it made me laugh

Thanks guys. You're right, it probably is a little on the long side. The others in the series all featured the same Chief Inspector surrounded by people who were just completely inappropriate for the jobs they were in.

If memory serves in one the negotiator turned up and started swearing at the armed hostage-takers over the megaphone, and in another very short sketch the police marksman turns up with his guide dog.

Thanks for the comments.
