Sitcom Setting. Page 4

The setting is probably the first reason given when a reasonably written sitcom is rejected.

'Probably'?

:) I so agree Rwayne nothing better than the paradoxical juxtaposition of complex characters in self constrained exclusion, I am thinking here of 'Pinteresque' of course. I adore 'The Caretaker'.

Of course.

'Probably'?

Yup.

Yup.

Ahh... that's completely cleared that up then.

It was more a question of if that was what you thought or what you knew... I'm guessing it's 'knew'.

Sarcasm is the main reason I left this board, for a long time. I look in occasionally but see it hasn't changed much. The clique are on the warpath yet again. Sad people

A bit of both. :)

>_<

I view those posters as immature and teenagers that snigger as they write their sarcasm; the type that, in their wildest dreams wouldn't dare answer their parents back but in their frustration in that, love, anonymously, winding others up on forums.
And to the OP, my suggestion would be a Delivery-by-van, company. Perhaps in competition with a similar company. The staff and customers could be featured.

Yeah, the last thing this forum needs is people who only join in to have a snipe or a moan. Where's the love, folks?

Just for the record I wasn't being sarcastic.
It was a genuine piece of advice - presumimg the OP's question was, in itself, genuine, rather than a wind-up.
It's also incredibly poor manners to come into a comunity of writers - both aspiring and working - and say "got any ideas?".
As those who writers who actually write will confirm, coming up with ideas can be hard.
Advice and critique are reasonable requests - but to ask others to do the basic thinking for you is rude/lazy/taking the piss.
More than happy to discuss the principles behind this, but the name-calling is a bit uncalled for.
As it happens it has turned into an interesting discussion about character versus setting, so all is not lost.

A question that puzzled great minds such as the Fudgees.

:) Bushbaby well don't go then! fight backthat's what a forum is about free discussion, I think I know what you mean, people get misunderstood.

I have felt that, but overall I do like it here and feel free to speak my mind.

Hey Mikey have you thought of a title for your autobiography?

Quote: Mikey Jackson @ April 28 2012, 5:04 PM BST

Actually, no, on seconds thoughts, that would be crap.
