The Addicted Sportsman
A series of short sketches based on sportsmen trying to play despite their obvious addictions.
i.e 1] Jockey riding horse whilst opening can of special brew,
2] Snooker player snorting coke whilst getting down to a shot,
3] Goalkeeper addicted to sex having one off the Oliver,[with help of a jazz mag] against the goal post as his team attacks.
What are these then? Just one-off cartoons?
No,... short sketches that run intermittently through a sketch show.
I'm still laughing at #1 and #3. You crazy f**ker!
Has potential as an idea ... although we know (from the title) what the general theme is, it might be tricky getting it across from just the individual 'events' shown one at a time with other stuff in between.
The sketch could run and run. But have you noticed producers/editors etc very rarely allow sketches involving drug abuse. I feel humour can take the power away from things sometimes.
Godot taxi. Have you written anything on critique forum ?. Can't seem to see it. Would be interesting.
Imagine a gymnast trying to find a vein on the parallel bars ?.
Now that would get Mary Whitehouse going.
