Your sketches are very very very long and built on very very very slim premises. So, the joke here is that a man is homosexual and his friends didn't know? That's not funny, especially over 3 minutes.

Often I don't even know what the joke is supposed ot be. You had one where people were dancing to a record. Was the joke that old people generally don't like urban music? Or was the joke that the record was crap, but they still liked it? Or was it that they were dancing to a record all about Saturday night when it was clearly the afternoon? None of those things are funny, surely.

My advice (for what it's worth) would be to stop just noting things that seem amusing to you - when your mate Dave pretended to be a bummer and it was, like, totally funny - and to start twisting normal situations so that they are unusual, to see whether there are jokes to be mined.

You had a sketch where a young girl asks her Dad where she came from, and instead of giving a birds & bees talk he starts on a graphic, locker room boast about all the positions he had her Mum in. That's actually a good idea, try to write all your sketches on a solid basis like that. Your dialogue writing will get better with time, but only if you have something to write about. It would take a genius to write this sketch so that it is funny: "there are some girls walking along, most of them are atractive but one of them isn't, and some boys observe as much".

Enjoy.

Maybe try something else? All 8 episodes have been pretty bad but this has been the worst. Some decent ideas if it was done a bit better.

Thank you Gappy & Markaroni for your comments. Very much appreciated :)

The annoying thing is the first one wasn't bad before it turned into a dreary collection of euphemisms.
