Roisin Conaty

Hey people,

I was watching Russell Howard's Good News a few weeks back on BBC Three/Dave (one of the two) and it was an extended episode with a stand up guest which on this occasion was a very funny young woman named 'Roisin Conaty'.

I searched her name on the forums here and was surprised that she hasn't really been mentioned so I thought I'd start a thread to see if she has any fans on here and also ask are there any other performances I can search with some different material.

If you haven't seen her before here's the clip I saw. Enjoy Roisin Conaty on Russell Howard's Good News

I've seen/heard her before, I think she's pretty good. Greg Davies is a big supporter of hers.

Like her a lot

She did win Edinburgh in 2010, so she's not exactly unknown. She's not as over-exposed as many of her fellow performers, mind.

She appeared fairly regularly on Show & Tell last year.

Think she's been on HIGNFY.

She was good on the Angina Monologue thing a few years ago.

I think she manages to be self-deprecating in a very genuine way - with many comedians you get the feeling that they are making fun of themselves because making yourself look pathetic is an easy laugh, but she's much more clever about it.

I've met her a couple of times and she's very nice too.

:) She is great sort of normal like me? love the 'relationship' thing where you can only be unreasonable with someone, and the silly noises cannot believe that someone else does that!

PS; I can talk through a burp-really funny- er, is anyone still coming to Manc' meet?. :P
