NJ Film Reject

Justin -Cameron has been pushing hard to make adoption quicker - which is more than adding some go faster stripes to the Bill. When the changes are implemented adoption could take as little as three months rather than the current average of two and a half years. Newsjack films imagines where this may lead

V/O - In a world virtually identical to this world

Woman 1 - I think I want to adopt a child

F/X wall being knocked down

Bill - Madam I will cut throw the bureaucracy with my scissors of justice and speed up your adoption with my accelerator of righteousness

Woman 1 - Sorry?

V/O - He will not stop until all children are placed in different homes

Woman 1 - (CON/T) He's adorable. Is he from the orphanage?

Bill - Sort of. He was in a pram outside poundland

V/O - Whether they want to be or not

F/X music signaling an announcement in a supermarket

Woman 2 - (Through a public address system) We have a young boy who appears to have been separated from his mother

F/X BILL flying in

Bill - I will take this waif and place him in a loving home

Woman 2 - I think that's his mother coming now

Bill - There's no time to spare!

F/X BILL flying away with child

V/O - Where there is a need he'll be there. Where there is a child he'll be there. Where there is lax security he'll be there

Bill - You poor unloved child what are you doing standing on this street outside a building with murals on the walls and hop scotch in the yard?

Man 1 - I teach Geography, mate

Bill - Come with me

F/X BILL flying away with MAN 1

V/O - Coming soon to theatres the man, the myth, the legend, Adoption Bill. Inspired by events that may or may not happen

It's a better idea than the execution. I think it could do with chopping a lot out or making funnier as it's essentially the same thing happening really.

Dan

On a technical note you do not identify 'Adoption Bill' to the listeners until the end, which makes what goes before a little confusing.
