British Comedy Guide

In search of a comedian

Hey there,

Some time ago I watched some clips on YouTube about the "Just for Laughs"-Festival in Montreal (don't ask me what year), and I remember watching this guy from either Great Britain or Ireland. Big, sturdy guy, reminded me a little about Liam Neeson. He had a guitar and was really funny. And I would really like to see more of him, but unfortunately I can't remember his name, nor do I find the clip again. The only thing I do remember though is one of his lines, which went like this:

"An Englishman without a beer is like an American ..." (that one took the audience a while).

Does anybody perhaps know who this guy is?

Thanks
thomas

@zooo
No, but nevertheless thanks for the effort!

EDIT:
By the way, it was this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8BwOqVqYVQ

I even provided a picture! I think you should have pretended it was him. ;)

Ok, I feel really stupid but I don't get the joke and it's driving me mad! Please explain it to me...

Errr

No probs. Plenty CDs/DVDs/MP3s available.

Ok, now that I thought about it - it really WAS him!

@Harridan
Perhaps you got it but just don't find it funny?

I like you, you make me sound discerning rather than thick!
