The News for Humans

A news sketch we filmed just before Christmas: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=BxCjHhrB6TQ

This was great, only two minutes but lots of laughs.

My favourite line, by far: "...after being kicked in the face by a horse. He said the pain was like being kicked in the chest... By a horse."

A nice sketch OF. Isthere any way you could make your own manual auto cue to enhance it even further?

Some very nice jokes in there! The real problem for me was the lag between gags (gag lag!) as you had to check your notes. Maybe you could work in some cutaways to speed things up? Did you shoot any other angles maybe?

The 'trailing off' joke was pretty weak; there's really only one way that punchline could go and that's exactly where you went. The guy giving the press conference in that scene really reminded me of Michael Wincott, but that's neither here nor there.

Hey Brett thanks for the positive feedback. Really this was an amalgamation of 3 different news sketches. The horse joke is an old one I wrote but I felt it had to be included. @will cam we were going to have an auto cue type system but we we're a little rushed so I half memorised the script and went from there. @ David bussell I had a bigger joke originally around the trailing off idea but we tried to edit it down as much as possible. I suppose it was a little obvious as to what was going to happen. Originally it spread to the newscaster aswell so we were only getting half of the stories and then it spreads to the credits which stop abruptly. Jeez! I just Googled Michael wincott, it's uncanny!

Thanks for the feedback.
