Yes, I was wondering that lol.
The Merits and Problems of a Perceptive Writer Page 3
Quote: zooo @ March 7 2012, 3:18 PM GMTI can be over analytical, and I people watch a lot, and I do agree that probably is quite common among writers. I don't see it as a problem though. It helps if anything.
What the heck is EI by the way?
See that's what I expected, so I'm a little relieved I'm not alone. I guess what I'm also driving at being to aware you can see those little signals they give off without realising it (they're not particularly interested in what you're saying for example), and that I find is a negative that I wouldn't have if I wasn't so aware.
EI stands for emotional inteligence, as far I was aware there is IQ, a measure of inteligence, and EQ (which I thought was the same as EI) which Emotional intelligence and maturity. But I may have that wrong.
I might have meant EQ rather than EI but I assumed they were the same thing.
Ahh, I see.

Well, I do like to think I'm very good at reading people, but then I imagine everyone thinks they're good at that, whether they are or not!

Where's the emoticon for not particularly interested in what you are saying when you need it??

Here:
Those are my shades!!
I've got your specs too.
Uncanny! Lol.
Yes, I'm ever so analytical, and it's especially frustrating when you're speaking to girls via text or facebook. You look into every little thing, imagining why they said that sentence, why they framed it like that, why not a smiley face, was that a fake smiley face, put there to make me think everything's okay when it's not? etc.
Also, If I do notice somebody doing something, that I'll not approve of, then sometimes I brush off the person altogether as somebody I don't want to know, because I assume all their decisions in life will become tainted with the same amount of selfishness or rudeness as the one example I had just seen.
Don't know if this is anything like what you're on about, but I'm sure I'll get a backlash like your fine self did
