Justin - "Virtual Prison" is not waiting for a girl you fancy to accept your friend request on facebook but is the governments new scheme that will allow judges to hand down tougher non-custodial punishments. This has affected an unlikely area - the remake of a classic sitcom
F/X prison doors slamming shut. Keys turning
Judge - Norman Stanley Fletcher, you have pleaded guilty to the charges brought by this court. I am imposing the minimum sentence - you will go to virtual prison
Norman - What does that mean?
Judge - Well we'll take your credit cards, so you'll have no money and you'll have to stay in the house for sixteen hours a day. Basically you'll be a student
Norman - So I'm not going to become a reluctant father figure to another likeable criminal with heart warming yet hilarious consequences?
Judge - Not unless you're planning a house share
Norman - If you let me go I'll just be back again
Judge - I'm sure you will. After all you are an habitual criminal, who accepts arrest as an occupational hazard, and presumably accepts virtual imprisonment in the same casual manner.
