Prescott Amnesia
===================
JUSTIN:
On this week's Desert Island Discs, John Prescott appeared hesitant about the current labour leadership's prospect for the top cabinet post. On the line now is the man himself. Welcome, Lord Prescott.

PRESCOTT:
Nice to be 'ere, Justin!

JUSTIN:
It seems you were very unsure who you thought would be Labour's next PM.

PRESCOTT:
No, I wasn't! I said, on that Dessert Island Discs, I said that he'd be PM!

JUSTIN:
*Who* would be PM?

PRESCOTT:
This is prepostorous! You're just trying to trap me!

JUSTIN:
But to whom are you referring?

PRESCOTT:
The guy. You know, that guy. Erm... the Labour guy. The one in charge.

JUSTIN:
Who's name is--?

PRESCOTT:
Ed! That's it! Ed!

JUSTIN:
Are you sure?

PRESCOTT:
Yes, Ed! Definitely Ed! Ed... Ed... Bbbbb-- Ffffff---Mmmm--? Ed... Byrne? Ed... Adair? Mr Ed!

JUSTIN:
Lord Prescott, thank you very much.

PRESCOTT:
No! I know it! I do!

END

Was "Dessert Island Discs" intentional? Because it is very apt, and perhaps could be made more of. As it stands the premise of the sketch is not the strongest.

Yes, it was. I'm glad there is one gag in there...
