Question about Church of England Page 3

Not sure whether it would have been risked in Elizabeth's reign. I'm sure you could work something in about priest holes.

Not unless you wanted to end up in Clink, it wouldn't have been, no. It might be hard to show a priest hole in a sitcom. A subtle way would be wearing a ring and showing it, or wearing something red underneath and showing it, these would both indicate he was really a Catholic, but both could have him put in jail and interrogated if seen by spies. Also, would a modern day audience get it? I doubt it. They will get the cross making, so why not just do that?

Sorry Evan but it is really an impossible question to answer out of context. Where is the scene set, what is happening in the scene, who is the revelation important to, what are the consequences etc?

High Anglican and Catholic are very similar.

About the only real diference is celibacy, Pope and Rome.

And class, my dear boy. Class.

And that irritatingly small matter of transubstantiation.

From an episode of Bleak Expectations: Harry Biscuit has gorged on communion wafers, "I am made up almost entirely of Christ now!".

And confession.

Although if you've just bombed a country on a pack of lies or hounded a weapons inspector to his death, it's pretty easy to move across for a bit of spiritual exoneration.
