BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Forum (Deadline 7/3/12)

Anybody entering this, or have entered it in the past?
There's a tenner entry fee, but it looks a good opp as three shortlisted entries get acted out in front of agents, prodcos, etc.

All they're looking for is a 10 minute script extract

http://www.rocliffe.com/how_to_submit.html

The deadline is 7th March.

I did it last year and hand delivered my script. Despite the fee, reception at BAFTA was drowned in paper. The only thing I heard from them was an enquiry reagrding whether my mobile number was correct.

I'll probably submit something, got a choice of two things. *ponders*

I got a page of feedback and they were very communicative.

Dan

I've entered an extract from one of my screenplays.

One thing to remember, though, is for your 10 minute extract to be "stageable."

Hello there - we go to great lengths to ensure that Rocliffe writes to every writer who submits. If you haven't heard back from us it may be that your email address may have been mistyped. We have nothing but respect for writers who submit work and put themselves forward and out there. We are not doing it for the money - it barely pays for itself but because everyone involves believes in supporting new talent and that you can't ignore new talent. Every script received is read by an industry professional. Best wishes Farah @ Rocliffe

With respect Farah, as I stated in my earlier post all I received was a text asking for confirmation of my email. And absolutely nothing else so I'm tempted to take the attitude of why bother this year?
Perhaps if you could contact me via this forum, we could then try to track down the missing feedback?

this looks good but I'm put off by the post above

? hmmmm

is it worth it.

My mate entered this last year and won. She subsequently had her script performed in New York, got a fancy London agent and her script optioned and developed by Bwark who do The Inbetweeners.

It's well-worth gambling the tenner if you've got a cracking script.
