I don't want to sound like a communist but....... Page 2

It was what was called an actress-led workshop on MQS - I think they did her as a project. I developed a script whereby I pretended to be one of the 4 Marys, umpteen years after her death, and took them through her life. The kids dressed up and acted out some of it. Great fun. and it took place in a very old building where she was reputed to have stayed.

And it was amazing how many kids believed I really was a visitor from the past.

Sounds great.

Yes, half in the kids in my group always think I really am Henry VIII!

Do you tour schools or is there a relevant centre where you operate?

I go to them.

Mm, not my decision. Unimpressed

Sorry Aaron, I didn't on purposely go over your head. Honest! I asked Mark because I didn't want you to change it and then for him to go "Why did you do that?" and for there to be a debate over it. Asking him directly made more sense. Nothing personal.

But my name was stupidly long looking back. I was young and crazy and threw caution to the wind in those days.

Oh, it's not that; it's the changing of names at all that bugs me! I'd prefer a zero-change policy.

What if someone had picked an unfortunate name and then something happened that made it a bit dodgy? Like a user called GaryGlitterfan69 before we all knew.... Smarmy

Ha ha! Well, I'd hope they were sane enough to understand that music and person are separate and to stick by their musical tastes.

On another forum I'm on, someone made the big mistake of taking the first letter of their first name and their surname so they were Twatkins.

Laughing out loud Dear oh dear.

Do I gather from the thread title that Will Cam wants to change his user name to 'Man of Steel'?

The BCG version of Animal Farm is coming.....

I don't mean the porn.

I understood that our BCG 'names' would only be changed for a valid reason e.g. a member who used to post under their real name having an opportunity at the BBC and might not want a Google search pulling up anti-BBC posts.

Of late Ruby and Lee have changed their names for reasons unknown and as that function is only available to Mods this seems a bit elitist?

Or am I just being a knob.

I have a very valid reason that my posting on here and my day job could very easily overlap now and it could cause problems for me. I've had the same user name for 4.5 years... It wasn't an easy decision... But necessary.

If you have a valid reason to want to change your name then I'm sure if you email Aaron he can help (as I had to).
