It was an interesting subject Dellas, and thanks for bringing it up. I would agree that it has been dominated by off-topic mutual; "Look at me!" willy waggling contributors whose emotions often cloud their reason.
It's a tough call even for the most liberal of admin/mods, their choice in these matters is too often forced into what is the least wrong course of action to take rather than whatever may be the right one.
Are you contributing to the debate or the debate about the debate Allan? And as for WW it must be pretty cold up there in Scotland today so I guess you are excused!

I was one of the last contributors to the original debate before the OP's topic was taken over by the willy wagglers. Weather up here is very mild, so we can forgive you lads down there for showing off yer stiffies even though it might be more due to the freezing cold or comedic rigor mortis than natural causes.
Thankyou Allan, how refreshing to hear a sensible comment instead of the usual cowardly copycat banter. I am not giving up in this campaign to rid this place of misogynist nasty and crude contributers'.
I know there are other BCG members who agree, I want them to help me stop those deliberately offensive people from repeatedly ruining a serious discussion.
If we want this platform to become successful we have to set standards of decorum to display thoughts on all aspects that concern us.
That others set themselves up to deliberately deride or cheapen a members opinion is not clever, and a form of abuse.
I will try again to clarify this matter with the 'moderators' I really do believe this website is fantastic and a great place for writers and general comedy enthusiasts,and there is opportunity for criticism/ fun.
It would be very tragic,however, if in the pursuit of excellence , interesting topics are denigrated to the extent that a thoughtful discussion can NEVER be tolerated in the forum.
