If you have a problem with a certain person - it's better to actually try and speak to them via PM or even speak to a moderator via PM rather than bring things up on a thread. We do notice things, and are normally aware of the bigger picture. So by not mentioning it on threads, you cause less drama as an outsider (as you say). :)

Some people thrive on being accused etc and thus, if you don't want a troll, don't feed it troll food. (I am by no means saying anyone here is a troll).

I think I see your point, thank you for that.
(Though I don't fully understand 'troll')
Just to be clear, I don't have any kind of problem with any person on here (I
don't know any people on here) just, occasionally with the things that are said.

nb how do our wonderful moderators, fit their moderating into their busy lives?

I mean most of you are at work aren't you?

What do you say to people when they call the Samaritans?

Just write something funny or interesting or noteworthy. Try and join in on some of the jokes, show a bit of comradery and stop taking yourself so seriously.

And that's it, that's all you have to do, it's not difficult.

Probably works.

It's an interesting view...and I'm sure most people will accept that expressing
yourself with just the written word takes effort, but it also requires a bit of
effort on the part of the reader. If someone is so single minded as to want to
be angry (or at least appear to be angry) all the time they'll surely find
something to be angry about in what somebody else writes, regardless of it's
intent.
It's worth reading a post more than once, before you reply to it, just in case
you misunderstand what is actually being said.

I saw a cat once.

In 2 halves? You sick bastard!

Thank you for that I did use the link (Oh yeah, I've got all the lingo)
The Norse mythology confused me for a while but I got there in the end.
So...'troll' = pretty much everybody who uses an internet forum.
