Drinks Page 11

:) Sounds a great night, and very enjoyable! Really wish I could have attended as I said to AJGO. Must be good to get to really know each other in person, it will prevent misunderstandings between each other!

As I live in Manchester it is difficult to attend, so feel less part of the 'Community' sort of thingy.

The evening was great fun, right up until the point I accepted a drink from Renegade "Powerful" Carpark and came around a day later covered in a contusions and stinking of lobster bisque. I haven't walked right since.

I haven't walked right since.

There is video evidence that this condition predates this particular event!

It would have been nice if W.A.L.L.-E J.P could have made it

Seriously wanted to have been there.

I've told my friend 'kojak' the campanologist about this drink-up..

Did he turn up and meet RC?

I can see it now: campanologist meets camp analogist.

..ad-hock..

:)

No Kojak didn't appear.

I did email & txt him about the change of venue, but he may not have seen them in time as he is not regularly on-line.

He possibly gatecrashed the private party that had closed the other pub to us and then wondered why we were not there. Huh?

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Should have been "add-hock" really I suppose Cool
I think it could work!
Please let me know when and where.
Why would sweet German wine have helped?
Heh, heh, that doesn't make any sense in the context of the original sentence:
Some of you met him in "The Enterprise" in Red Lion St when we had an ad-hock (stet) meet there a while back.
Should have been "add-hock"
Anyway, FWIW, at the time I was thinking "hock" was an old word for beer, musta confused it with BOCK another German-derived word that is used for Lager.
The photos of the drink session are now up in the usual place (on my server here at home).
As usual they are password protected, to see them you had to be there :-)
I hope you all remember the password we agreed.
Because my camera batteries were nearly conked out, the photos of the two David's didn't come out, sorry.
If anyone there is happy for their pics to be visible to others, let me know & I'll put them where they can be seen by anyone.
Ditto. Could it be 'wooly jumper'? 'Tiger jumper'?
Ha! Your mighty powers as moderator are useless because the photos are on MY computer.
Ho Ho Ho Ho...
Well done Bill! Shame about the batteries.
