People dressing up to fly on a plane.

When I was a kid, there was an old couple down my road who used to get dressed up to go and vote at election time.

Pff! I've never seen it written down like that. However, in the spirit of "joining in", I shall add Monika Lewinsky.

Whatever happened to her?

She's now a presenter on the 'Big Jewish Hair Care' cable shopping channel.

People wearing coats that are covered in badges.

Surviving WW1 veterans.

The Mumps.

:D

Not so unusual though, my nan always used to don her white hood and drag the old burning cross down to the polling station.

Surviving WW1 veterans.

i think they still keep a few of them going to run the Post Office.

Surely this thread is set up for Old Rocker and Chappers - when are they going to regale us with tales of Mary Quant being hit by a Doodlebug during the Suez Crisis?

The last time I saw a photo of Monica Lewinsky she was big as a house.

No one says 'wotcher' anymore as a form of greeting.

Was it 'Wotcher'? I always thought it was 'Wotcha'.

Great new threads on the BCG.

it was very real when I was a kid. I think it disappeared after they became stricter on what legally could constitute a tin of dog food. It used to bulked out by stuff like wood ash, cobwebs, cocaine, ghosts etc... I think making it actually contain some meat led to the demise of the white dog poo. A sad loss.

:D

I haven't seen one of these in decades:

The rag and bone man.

Really?

Where do you live?

They are everywhere these days.

Where do you live?

They are everywhere these days.

London.

Christ almighty, you and Lee must live in some weird parallel dimension. Do you both doff your hats at the chimney sweeps on the way to your carriages?

Really?

Where do you live?

They are everywhere these days.

Do they actually collect rags and bones?
