I think with Extras, the idea sounded better in his head. I can't deny the blatant use of "celebs", definitely cheapens it, but *ironically* some of the celebs are actors, so I think on some level it is justifiable. Most of them played "big-headed actors" but isn't that what most actors are?

Leevil ask yourself why you didn't have the same reaction as Tim? Its because, as SlagA said, the TV screen distances the viewer from the program. If it happened in real life then you would not laugh. Also Tim reacts but passively so you could say hes just as guilty as Brent for not standing up to his beliefs by challenging him.
EDIT: I'm not saying RG isn't funny but its the constant focus on minorities which worries me a bit. Either its a vain attempt to be edgy or worse. A good example of how it should be done is something like Curb where Larry is completely open about his prejudices and is usually the victim in the comedy rather than the minorities.
You can't be "angry" at that child like ignorance, what David says is never done with any malice, it's purely putting his foot in his mouth.
