Mrs. Brown's Boys - Series 2 Page 3

Thanks very much Aaron. I'll know which DVD to buy now. Many thanks.

Does anyone know who sings the theme tune?

In spite of myself, I find this show regularly hysterical! :)

So it said Mrs brown 8 on Mrs brown 7 so that could be related with Mrs brown 2series 2

Pardon?

Pardon?

Aaron I got the 7 DVD box set and said mrs brown 8 coming soon so is that related with series 2

I believe the 7 stage shows were recorded some time before even the first TV series, so that seems unlikely. I would guess that they made, or intended to make and eventually didn't, an 8th stage show, which is not in the box set.

Aaron it said at end of the seven year itch
Watch out for Mrs Brown 8 soon. Some of the stuff from the from the 1st TV series are on the stage too

I see Universal are making a Mrs. Brown movie. And there's also a Mrs. Brown quiz show in the pipeline. As well as a Mrs. Brown third series.

I wonder how bothered Brendan O'Carroll is by the critics now?

I've still not seen this. No idea when it's on, what channel or anything. What I do know is that my Facebook feed is often flooded with quotes from the show.

I shall look at the guide and take a look...

And a cartoon. Not to mention the original novels and stage shows. And the movie they already made. I can't believe he's been worried by critics for a very long time now.

I think it's brilliant that the show's been so successful. Whatever you think of it, it's been a massive shot in the arm for British comedy and - more specifically - mainstream studio comedy. I hope the Mrs Brown train keeps on a-rolling and making lots of money for the BBC to plough back into comedy in general.

Go Brendan!

The musical finale of yesterday's episode made me cringe. The episode itself was ok, a typical MBB episode, like it or hate it....only the scene where the actor who plays the gay son corpsed made think. Was this corpsing genuine or is this a trick to make this show "even more special", in addition to the oh so special breaking of the fourth wall and male actor playing the main female character?

Brendan O'Carroll is a very talented comedian, he has that much to his name. I wouldn't know where to start. Roll on Series 3 of Mrs. Brown's Boys, it's the only thing on TV at the moment that even makes me smile. :D

It's entertainment aimed at people, not critics.
Proper end-of-the-pier stuff without a whiff of pretension.
Good luck to him.
