Homework thread

My mind is mush this evening - can someone give me some examples for the following homework question please?

Q: Write a list of things that you think are difficult to describe as only a solid or a liquid.

You mean things which are neither (like gas) or things which can be both?

It is an appallingly badly written question isn't it - the wife and I stared blankly at each other trying to get our heads round it. Wot I wrote is word for word for what it says.

Mercury, bromine

Any sort of gel ?

I'm going to - we have this problem every week! Two of the three questions this time are open to interpretation.

Thanks for the help guys - at least we don't have a blank piece of paper now :)

Quote and edit buttons gone - anyone else got this problem?
