Newsjack - Series 6 Page 62

Nothing for me this week, but well done to those who got stuff on.

Well done to those who got stuff recorded too. You made the grade - different crowd and you may have made the edit as well.

Brian Cox and Vanessa Feltz arguing about helium balloons

The balloons one was recorded.

Dan

mine was the Corrections Intro. Loved the fly sketch - was that from anyone on the forum?

Two JackApps for me: Harry Potter star jailed, and the parcel delivery one.

Well done to everyone who got something on or recorded.

Well done all. I crept in with the Jack App about the fitness of policemen.

Just listened to the show and congrats to those who made the recording and / or edit this week.

And Badge, bit of a police fetish there?

My favourites were the Archbishop FTA sketch (great punchline) and the Jesus for Archbishop JackApp - did anyone on here write them?

Hmm, maybe I have an Archbishop fetish.

Is it just my perception, or has been a big reduction in number of interview sketches this series?

That suddenly dawned on me a few shows ago, and it's one reason why I think the show is better than it was. There isn't the "sameiness" of sketches that there used to be.

In fact, there are quite a few more 'more than two character' sketches recently. Maybe they are preferable.

Dan

I'll agree with Badge and Dan - definitely fewer 'Justin Interviews', and more multi character sketches. I discovered there's a few episodes of Newsjack on Spotify, so I listened to some of the older episodes recently, the quality has definitely shot up.

Does anyone know if a seventh series has been commissioned?

There was talk of it coming back in October/November time. I think it was 'conditionally commissioned' when series 6 was greenlit (greenlighted?).

No, I don't know what 'conditionally commissioned' means.

Have to say, it's only this series I've realised how popular it actually is. I thought it was basically only listened to by a bunch of writers screaming about how they could do better, but it has genuine 'people who listen to the radio' fans as well!

INTERVIEW SKETCHES SUX MASSIVE BALLS

Well, you heard it here first from the man with the broken shift key...

Dan

Shouldn't that be 'broken caps lock key'?
