Happy Birthday to Peterborough's very own Alan Partridge!

And that :)

Happy Birthday dear Tuumble
I know you like a fumble
But to avoid any Jimmy Saville shenanigans
Teenage girls should have a crystal in their palms, like in Logan's Run
Soon as they turn 16, it starts flashing (and so does the crystal)

Happy birthday Tuumble,
Be he ever so huumble
Those face like holmes

Aww, you guys... :)

I've had a good day today. Here's something I've just posted something on Facebook that gives an indication of just how old I am...i.e. VERY old...

---

So on this my 44th birthday, I decided to base my day on my supposedly lucky number, the number four. I said earlier it was my intention to buy a lottery ticket but it didn't work out quite as originally intended. However, my time was very much 4 related as the following demonstrates...

After visiting Pinewood Studios and the surrounding area to see some of the locations used in the Carry On films we decided to head back home via Amersham. Why? Because Amersham has a pub, The Kings Arms, which was used in FOUR Weddings and a Funeral. From there we headed on to the A404 towards Rickmansworth and at 4 o'clock I stopped at a newsagent to get the lottery ticket.

At 4:04pm precisely I paid £1 for a ticket with the numbers 4, 8, 16, 40, 44 and 48 and £3 for a scratchcard from box number 4. Total spent on the lottery was £4 and once I paid for a couple of other bits I was charged £6.02. I handed over a tenner and two 1p coins so I got four pounds in change.

From here we went to get some petrol at a station that had 40mph sign outside. The first pump we went to was out of unleaded so we went to another and without realising the significance at the time we used pump 4 and the cost of the fuel was £30.01, which also adds up to 4.

The scratch card yielded no luck but it was interersting in that the Bingo theme card had 4 games and used 4 of the numbers I'd chosen for the main lottery. Let's hope Wednesday's draw is a winning ticket or else I'm gonna look pretty darn silly.

Oh, and the wife has just told me that according to a Facebook thing, my Hobbit name is Shaggo FOREskin. So not silly at all then...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, again. You do realise we'll all know if you win on Wednesday and will be pestering you for a handout?

I was looking for a funny, quirky photo of a chap in a pickelhaube.

And mostly they were very rude! Look em up if you like I'm sticking with the cat in the spiked hat.

Happy Birthday Mr Radio

Ha! Thank you Sunshine!

Speaking of radio my show is back on air on the 12th January so if you want to listen in please do. The show page is here: https://www.facebook.com/events/419160074821445/

Oh, and Michael Monkhouse said about having the BCG Jokefest again. I haven't got a date yet but if you can think about some one liners about Technology, PM me and I'll read them out on air and give you a namecheck.

Hey, you remember me talking about the lottery ticket???

I really can't believe it - the coincidence is remarkable. I got....

NO MATCHING NUMBERS

(but I checked 4 times just to make sure)
