Very good.

I agree, very good indeed.

I'd be too scared to spend my time painstakingly creating an animation only to have it taken down by the copyright holders. Has this ever happened?

I asked Dara via tweet if I could use more of his audio for some animation and he graciously granted permission saying he didn't mind how I animated them!

What a gent!

Nice! Although I've since seen what software you use. I only had a quick look but is it as easy as it looks? Have you built your models from scratch or is it all done for you?

You can create a set from objects within the Muvizu program or import your own. The characters are also selected from within Muvizu and can be customised to a fair degree.
Think of it more like digital puppetry than animation.
Don't animate. Direct instead as they say!
You can create in hours an animation that would take months in another program.

I've just watched this video - http://muvizu.com/Video/17213/Tutorial-02-Muvizu-in-a-nutshell. It seems pretty simple or as advanced as you want it to be. Which is a great feature for a piece of software to have.

I noticed the Scottish accent in the tutorial and your location on here is set to Scotland. Is this your software? There's no shame in promoting it on here! ;)

Ha ha! No I wish!
It is not my software. Yes the company is based in Glasgow and I have been invited into and visited Muvizu HQ. on the strength of some of my toons and as I stay relatively close.

But again no, it ain't my software.
I'm a full time firefighter who just enjoys comedy and creating cartoons

Well you seem to have got quite a lot out of it. If you're that invested into projects, you should learn how to animate for real. I bet you could create some pretty amazing stuff.

Kind words but I think I'll stick to Muvizu for my animation needs
"proper" animation as you call it would take weeks to produce only seconds of footage.
For me it's like putting your clothes in a washing machine rather than going down to the river and beating them with rocks.

Muvizu is developing all the time and will be the choice of many who realise its potential for rapid low cost animation

Hey Dreeko. Massive improvement from earlier! A lot better now you have a story/cut away visual with him on the describing his actions (a la TRGS). An improvement for me would be to exaggerate EVERYTHING. So for example, when he says about the kid bouncing off the walls, have the kid actually bouncing off the walls like a bouncy ball and when Dara gets mad, make him literally comically terrifying

I don't understand a single word of the technical stuff in the posts but...I loved it. More please.

Dreeko looks fab 1 lil critism what frame rate are you rendering these at? Seemed a tiny bit choppy, might just be me with my mental eyes. But I really liked it the cut away does the job perfectly.

Thanks for the feedback
The exaggeration is limited by the software used and same for the frame rate of the animation which may be what you see as the choppiness
I'll have more toons for all to see in the new year
Have a good Christmas everyone!
