Some Stand-Up Comedy What I Did
Some good stuff there mate. I can't even imagine how hard it is to do that. You did stumble a few times as you probably know, but I'm sure the more you do it, the more natural your story telling will be.
I can't offer any constructive criticism as I've never done anything like that before, all I can say is keep it up and good luck.
Yeah well done Stuart. I liked quite a bit of that, some very good stuff there and the delivery was good too.
I think in that situation stumbles are bound to happen but they were slight, infrequent and more importantly, you carried on well and didn't let them stop your flow.
Well done.
Ah man Alan Johnston being freed has pissed on that joke.
I liked it Stuart, it flowed alot better than the other one I have seen. I'm in awe of how you can get laughs, like the Aparthide joke I could never get any laughs but you got several. You have to let me know your secret. The new jokes were very funny but I hope you are still doing the worse journey one which makes me laugh.
P.S. If you are 'free' can I book you to clean my garden?
In your other vid, I liked your 'Old people at weddings' bit. Just thought I'd mention that.
Your stand-up is very different from your films. Is that a conscious decision?
I hope its an unconscious decision, like when you're in a coma and your bitch of a wife switches off the machine.
It's weird... but I like it... I watched your slough one as well... I'm sickened by the amount of laughs your not getting as you have a good set... small problem I have is the delivery. I feel it could be worked on a bit more, no doubt it does the job I just feel it can be used to a more devastating affect.
I still think that the joke about your dad and his diary should, against the week of 17th Sept 1986, your punchline should be that 1986 was the number of times you got dropped. That would seem more logical to me.
Very Enjoyable Stuart, Cheers
I just watched your 'for the fans' videos on youtube and I thought there were some very funny lines. Sometimes drifted too much towards 'gervaisisms' but very good. And I'm usually sceptical to new stuff, so hope you appreciate that!
I liked it a lot Stuart... some very funny bits! I watched the 'Slough' vid too. I liked the 'old people at weddings' joke in that one especially... very good!
I agree with some people about the delivery but I appreciate just how difficult it must be.
Keep it up...
I really enjoyed that. Well done.
Yeah
well im sorry to say this but i didnt enjoy it but i think you need to know that but to end on a good note i liked the granny joke and the dropping as a baby.
I thought it was pretty good, didn't notice the stumbles, it was quite well paced ... held my attention and you carried it well. Only comment I would make is that you tend to eat the microphone and I couldn't hear odd bits through the 'boominess'. Well done ... takes guts does standup IMO!
