Episode 5 should be online in about a week. In the meantime, here's the story so far...
Coming VERY soon: BUNNY POO SALAD episode 5
This is dreadful. Stop now and do something different. I know you're trying to be surreal and cutting edge, but it falls flat on every level.
This has clearly taken a long time to put together and I commend you for putting the effort it, but it's entirely in vain for me, I'm astonished I lasted 6 minutes. You've spent far too much time editing and not enough time thinking about your material. Surrealism isn't about being f**king weird.
Well, I wholeheartedly apologise for daring to present something that ain't quite your cup of tea, sir.
Let me just say that while I myself might feel the odd twinge of dissatisfaction regarding my humble wares, it's generally in relation to a sketch's impact being diminished by the odd technical hiccup (or disaster) as oppose to the material itself, which I stand by.
Having said that, I decided some time ago that I wanted to vary the balance a bit, and so I threw some ideas at one of my cohorts, the result being him writing 4 sketches for episode 5 (sketches that HE is qualified to write, whereas I myself, IMHO, am not.)
I've also got a couple of sketches by other writers which I'm hoping to shoot for episode 6, but if I don't get to do that, it'll be a matter of the resources simply not being there.
Because, you see, when I say that this is a zero-budget production, I mean that it is a TOTALLY ZERO-BUDGET PRODUCTION. In other words, it is made via FAVOURS. As such, whether or not a particular sketch ends up in the mix is down to what CAN be shot - what's DO-ABLE.
Anyway, like I said, I stand by the material. Again, I do indeed want more contrast.
And again, I stand by the material.
And, if you don't like it, tough.
You see, I'm only using the forums to increase traffic.
By all means, criticise my sh*t till you're blue in the face. I do actually LISTEN to criticism (though, it doesn't automatically follow that I'll ACT on it.)
But what I cannot abide are sweeping statements from someone wearing his Guru Hat.
I've now read numerous other posts of yours. They tell me plenty about your Guru Hat.
Thank you for "commending our efforts".
Thank you for watching as much as 6 minutes.
Maybe, when watching something with a running time of 10 or 15 minutes, you might try watching the entire thing to see whether a particular set of sketches has a conclusion/twist/pay-off or not?
Again, you're entitled to be as negative or as critical as you wish.
But a patronising DECLARATION by some know-it-all in a Guru Hat?
Doesn't interest me.
I can of course only offer my honest opinion and I'm not asking you to ACT on my criticsm, I'm asking you to STOP altogether as it would be kinder to everyone.
But if you're only here for traffic, then there's nothing like a verbal declaration of hatred to get people interested in finding out what caused it! So please feel free to buy me a new Guru Hat by way of thanks, my current one doesn't fit that well thanks to my ever expanding sense of self importance.
No surprises there.
